95, Of Greenville, Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
She was Born December 23, 1930, to the late Ozro Parker Sherwood Sr and Nancy Myrtle (Gray) Sherwood.
Wanda was Proceeded in Death by her youngest son in June of 2000, Orville Dean Kennedy; 2 sisters; 5 brothers.
She was survived by her son; Randy (Emma) Kennedy; Grandchildren; Tina (Simmon) Wolfe; Jennifer l. (Kenny) Carden; Brandi N. (Francis) Davis; Cassey Kennedy; Jessica Kennedy; Step- Grandson Fredrick Kennedy; Great- Grandchildren; Michael Wolfe; Jacob ( Makenzie) Wolfe; Keegaen Davis; Ronan Davis; Tamsin Davis; Scarlett Thompson; Levi Thompson; William Thompson; Walker Thompson; Great- Great- Grandchildren; Paisley Wolfe; Bentley Wolfe; Sister; Bessie (Richard) smith; Brother Paul Sherwood.
Wanda will be remembered for the simple joys that brought warmth and happiness to her life. She enjoyed spending time on her tablet, keeping her mind active and her curiosity alive. One of her favorite pastimes was working on jigsaw puzzles, carefully placing each piece until the picture was complete. Wanda took great pride in her creations, often preserving them with puzzle glue and proudly hanging them on the walls of her home for others to admire.
She also treasured the companionship of her sweet dog, Bobby. Wanda loved taking Bobby on walks, enjoying the fresh air and the comfort of having her faithful friend by her side.
A woman of faith, Wanda attended Solid Rock Apostolic Church whenever she was able, remaining connected to the church she had been part of for many years. Her faith, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of those around her and will be lovingly remembered by family and friends alike.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 11 from 11AM to 12PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 12PM on Monday, May 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Mel Musser officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery. PMGFC.com
