Verla M. Ross

Verla M. "Red" Ross 74, of New Lebanon, went Home to be with her Savior, Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born June 13, 1946 in Dayton, to the late John and Marie (Church) Reid. In addition to her parents, Verla was preceded in death by her sister, Lucky Marcum. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Ross; sons, Chris and Jason Ross; grandchildren, Shelbi, Daniel, and Brooke; siblings, John (Barbara) Reid and Ruth Stubblefield; nieces, Judy, Donna, Sarahann, Rebecca, and Heather; nephews, Jeff and John; and great niece, Heather. Verla had been a member of the Fist Baptist Church of Eaton for 46 years, an avid seamstress, and was known for her out-going personality and ability to talk to anyone. Her grandchildren will remember her for the long phone calls, and Verla's love for shopping and sweets. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 7 from 6-7PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria. Due to COVID-19, there will be no services.
