Timothy “Tim” Waymire

77, of West Alexandria, suddenly passed away, Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

He was born September 14, 1947, in Dayton, to the late Donald Richard Waymire and Sarah Louise (Rike) Masters.

A hardworking man, Tim retired from Delco-Moraine after 33 years of dedicated service, and after retirement, he continued to stay active, working another 15 years at the Eaton Walmart. He was never one to sit idle—his hands were always busy, and his spirit was always engaged.

One of Tim’s greatest joys was fitness. At home, he built "Tim’s Gym," where he worked out and lifted weights, not just for his own health, but as a way to encourage and mentor younger visitors who would stop by. He found purpose in helping others grow stronger—both physically and spiritually in life.

Tim also had a passion for travel. He and his beloved wife, Brenda, made it their mission to explore the beauty and history of the country, visiting 47 of the lower 48 states. Whether discovering historical sites, soaking in the peacefulness of the beach, or simply spending time outdoors, Tim found joy in every journey and adventure.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Richard Waymire; brother-in-law, Greg Combs; and nieces, Angie and Cheryl Waymire and Dawn Jimenez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Brenda Waymire; daughters, Stephanie Ann (Gary) Carr and Yisrael Tracy Waymire; grandsons, Bryant “Bubba” Keith (Amanda Furrow) Artz, Jacob Taylor Mehr, and Timothy Alan Joseph “AJ” Hatfield; siblings, Thomas (Sue) Waymire, Connie (Mel) Johnson, Mike “Uncle” Combs, and Carol Combs; nieces, Emily Combs and Elizabeth Hovind; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15 from 10AM to 12PM at Harvest Revival Center, 1488 Johnsville-Brookville Rd, Brookville, OH 45309.  The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Niel Petersen officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.

Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the family to assist with AJ's, Tim's grandson, medical bills.
