Thomas G. Pridemore

Thomas G. Pridemore, age 73, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away early Sunday morning July 20, 2014. Born June 18, 1941 in Wise Co., VA, he was one of 13 children born to the late Landon & Omia (Gallihar) Pridemore. He proudly served with the US Navy from 1960 - 1963 assigned to the USS Graham County. Mr. Pridemore worked 14 years as a carpenter with Mendenhall Construction and retired after 22 years from the New Lebanon Public Schools working as a custodian, groundskeeper and bus mechanic. A current member of the Fairmont Baptist Church in Kettering, he also served the Lord as a Baptist minister and formerly pastored several area churches. A skilled woodworker, he enjoyed making useful furniture for family and friends. Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Kay (Richardson) Pridemore whom he married March 24, 1963: children Marcia L. Riley & husband Mark of New Lebanon; Thomas G. Pridemore, Jr. & wife Maria Jo of Houston, TX; and Carrie S. Brown & husband Jason of Hillsboro, OH: grandchildren Mark Riley, Jr., Cody Reynolds, Carson Reynolds, Colt Thomas Reynolds, and Ethan Brown: brothers and sister Bill Pridemore of IN, Fred Pridemore, John Pridemore, Jack Pridemore, Joe Pridemore all of OH, and Alice Lambert of AL. Also survived by numerous adopted grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by sisters and brothers Renie Mae Pridemore, Ernest Pridemore, George Pridemore, Joyce Hupp, June Morris, and Charles Pridemore. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
