Steven A. Hager
52, of Franklin, went to meet his daughter, Hayley, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
He is survived by his paternal grandma, Betty M. Hager; dad, George Hager, Jr.; mom and her significant other, Elaine Bishop and Donald Marker; brother and his wife, Troy and Angel Hager; sister, Penny Oliver; the love of his life, Susan Spicer; children, Shawn Dunaway, Alexis Hager, and Blake Hager; and grandbabies, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born with a sparkle in his eye and a deal in his back pocket, Steven was a wheeler, a dealer, and a one-of-a-kind hustler who could talk circles around the best of them—and often did. Whether he was swapping stories or sealing the next big score, he had a knack for turning the ordinary into opportunity and lived life by his own rules.
He was most at home on the open road, thundering down the highway on his beloved Harley Davidson, the wind in his face and freedom in his soul. When he wasn’t riding, you could find him working the slots or riding his luck at Miami Valley Gaming, chasing jackpots and enjoying the thrill of the game.
A visitation will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 1PM to 3PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria, with the funeral service to begin at 3PM. Interment will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
