Sawyer Reed Shafer

Infant Sawyer Reed Shafer, beloved son of Sarah M. Penny and Jeremy S. Shafer, was born on October 19, 2026, and passed peacefully into the arms of loved ones who went before him.

Though his time here was brief, Sawyer was deeply loved and will forever remain in the hearts of his family.

Sawyer is survived by his parents; his siblings, Jayden, Grayson, Ella, and Sandra; his grandparents, Lesa and Mike Bradshaw, Johnathon and Deana Penny, and Toni Shafer; and his great-grandparents, Vicki and Kevin Marten and Larry and Therese Miller.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kevin Shafer; his great-grandparents, James and Sandra Penny; and Gibby and Doris Saylor.

He is also lovingly remembered by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and family friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center, 3377 US Rte. 35 E. West Alexandria, Ohio 45381. A private burial will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
