Sandra “Sandi” Lee Fugate

age 78, of West Alexandria, Ohio, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord and to the embrace of her loved ones in Heaven on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

She was born on September 25, 1946 to the late, Jack Owens and Art and Catherine Fader. Sandi was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Owens, Father and Mother in law, Clinton and Rossie Fugate; brother in law, Vandel Fugate and sister in law, Donna Fugate; Nieces Vickie Fugate and Sandy Gray.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard, whose steadfast partnership was the cornerstone of her world; sons, Christian (Amy) Fugate, Richard Allen Fugate, and Tracey Lynn Fugate, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Madison and Ty, and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry her memory in their hearts;

Sandi is also survived by her loving brothers, Rod (Kay) Owens, Randy (Sandy) Fader, and Tony (Julie) Fader, Brother in laws; Bob (Jackie) Fugate, Darrel Fugate, Sister in law; Sally Fugate, Nephews; Bobbie Fugate, John Grey, Randy Fugate, and Niece; Pam Fugate, along with her best friend, Vivian Weiss, and many more beloved nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

In her younger days, Sandi worked at Lewisburg Container for many years, and then at Trotwood Food Town Grocery, where her warmth and diligence left a lasting impression. Away from work, Sandi found peace at the park, feeding the ducks and enjoying quiet moments in nature. Her love for cooking flourished into a talent for catering, and she took delight in organizing family gatherings, turning every get-together into a memorable celebration.  Sandi was known to be a perfectionist, approaching every task with a discerning eye and a heartfelt desire to make things just right. Sandi’s dedication to excellence left a lasting impression on all who entered her life.

Sandi welcomed adventures both big and small, whether she was walking on the beach, or making a floral arrangement she put her heart into everything she did.  Sandi loved visiting Amish Country, and hunting for treasures at garage sales. She took pride in cheering on her grandson Ty at his sporting events and was happy in spending afternoons shopping with her granddaughter, Madison. Her devotion to family was evident in these everyday adventures, woven through a life rich with love, kindness, and generosity.

A Visitation will we held on Friday August 22, 2025 from 4PM - 5PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER with a Memorial Service beginning at 5PM with Joe Hollstein Officiating.
