Ruth Ann (Odell) Taylor

She was born November 23, 1939 in Henry County, Indiana to Carl E. and Mary (Demeter) Odell.

Ruth graduated in 1957 from Hagerstown, Indiana High School then attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated in 1959.  She worked at Rike’s Department Store until 1966 and later worked at Eaton Sundry Store and Preble County ACE Hardware.

Ruth married John A. Taylor on December 21, 1963 and had been married 54 years and 11 months when he passed.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant son, John A. Taylor, Jr.; son, Greg Taylor; and sisters, Mary Phyllis Halstead and Marilyn Talbert.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Brenda Lee) Taylor; daughter, Diann (Jonathan) Barlow; daughter-in-law, Sherri Taylor; grandson, Bryan Taylor; granddaughters, Courtney and Ashley Barlow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 17 from 1-3PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.  The memorial service will begin at 3PM with Pastors Bonnie Loudner and Danii Green officiating. A meal will follow in the Community Center here at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center.
