Ruth B. Bell

Ruth B. Bell, 98, formerly of Eaton, OH, of Babson Park, FL, passed away early Saturday morning, January 19, 2019. Born March 9, 1920 in Miami County, OH, she was a one of seven children born to the late Walter and Sarah (Foreman) Jones. Ruth retired in 1978 as the Office Manager from the Sinclair and Valentine Co. of Dayton. A longtime member of the Eversole Church of the Brethren in New Lebanon, OH, in Florida, she attended the Community Christian Church in Babson Park. She was active socially, loved playing Euchre and other card games, playing Mexican Train Dominos, loved to read and do needlework, sewing and quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on June 5, 2005 by beloved husband Harold W. Bell, whom she married June 8, 1940; great granddaughter Caitlin Koehl; brothers and sisters Blanche Rike, Velma Petry, Everett Jones, Raymond Jones, Esther Johnson, Dale Jones and infant sister Thelma Jones. Survived by daughters Barbara A. Caplinger and husband Rodger of Eaton and Beverly Anspaugh and husband Eric of Rocky Mount, VA; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Janet Jones of West Alexandria, OH; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 E. - West Alexandria, OH. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mark Bowman presiding.
