Roscoe V. "Russ" Nichols

Roscoe V. "Russ" Nichols Age 83, of New Lebanon, passed away after a lengthy illness Monday, October 7, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born March 4, 1936 in Hickman, Kentucky to the late Henry and Clara Nichols. Russ was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Nales; and grandson, Jesse Huff. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Karen; children, Diane Edwards and Joe Nichols; step-son, Jamie Freels; grandchildren, Heather Lake, Dalton Labensky, Amanda Bailey, Alysha Bailey, and Sarah Marlett; great grandchildren, Natalie Miller and Brittney Lake; and many more family and friends. Russ was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He was a handyman who could fix anything, enjoyed putting together model airplanes, and a fan of NASCAR. The family will receive friends Friday, October 11 from 10AM to 12PM at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Chaplain Darin Powers officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
