Richard "Bud" Brannon

Richard A. "Bud" Brannon, age 79 of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2013. Born in Twinton, TN, he was a son of the late Richard A., Sr. & Mattie (Keeton) Brannon. Bud retired after 32 years with the Inland Division of General Motors. He proudly served his country as a First Sargeant with the Army National Guard and as a Master Sargeant with the Army Reserve and the Retired Army Reserve. He was a former Boy Scout Leader at the Eaton Armory; and for many years cleaned and maintained the Armory for many of the Armory's events. He was a longtime devoted member of the Grace Brethren Community Church in Glenwood, helping in many facets of church life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Thomas and Carl Brannon: son-in-law Steve Ditty: brothers-in-law Bill and Gerald McMurray. Survived by wife Beverly A. (Hoskins) Brannon whom he married March 9, 1984: children Kenneth S. Brannon & wife Tracy of Georgia; Angela K. Dalton & husband Carson of Germantown, OH; Rick D. Tolson of Hamilton, OH; Gail E. Ditty of West Manchester, OH; and James S. Christian of Camden, OH: grandchildren Steven and Jason Brannon; Danny, Jamie and Mendy Miller; Richard Tolson; Ron and Ashley Mobley; Brittany and James Christian: 14 great grandchildren: sisters Wanda McMurray and Dorothy McMurray both of West Alexandria, OH; and Mary G. Jackson of Madisonville, TN. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday, July, 27, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
