Reverend Hubert “Bubby” Eugene Hill

86, of Dayton, Ohio peacefully passed away on June 14th, 2025.

Hubert was born on September 17, 1938 in Fonde, Kentucky to the late Roy “Doc” Hill and Mary Hill. He was one of 10 children, with his siblings Annamae, Lilly, Pearl, Delphi, Glenda, Lawrence, Billy, Bobby and Harley. He was known by many as a man who loved the Lord and his family. No one was a stranger to him either; he loved to meet new people and would talk to anyone who would listen. He worked as a carpenter for many years, attended the Dream City Church in Springfield, was a member of Woodson Gap Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Cynthia Hill; his daughter and son-in-law Aleshia “Lisa” Herzog (Hill) and Joey Herzog; his granddaughters Jessica and Chelsea Herzog; his great granddaughter Maya Herzog; as well as his siblings Harley Hill and Glenda Hill.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because previous things have passed away.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18 from 1-3PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.  The funeral service will begin at 3PM with Rev. Keith Phipps and Pastor Victor Lawwill officiating.  Interment will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
