Paul E. Korns
93, of Eaton, formerly of North Ft. Myers, Florida, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
He was born January 2, 1932, in Dayton, to the late Charles W. and Berta A. (McGuire) Korns.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Phoebe Korns; son, Mark Korns; stepson, Joe Kenworthy; and brother, David Korns.
He is survived by his children, Gena (Rieck) Korns, Stephen (Victoria) Korns, and Michael (Laura) Korns; stepchildren, Bruce (Penny) Kenworthy, Twila (Michael) Fugate, and Kevin (Lynette) Kenworthy; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many more family and friends.
Paul's life was a symphony of passion, dedication, and joy. From an early age, music was at the heart of everything he did. After graduating from the University of Dayton, he shared his love for music as a teacher for 13 years in Richmond, Verona, Lewisburg, Jackson, and Camden, where he also guided students in marching band formations.
Beyond the classroom, Paul’s musical talents enriched every community he touched. He served as the choir director at Guiding Light Church, where his faith and music intertwined beautifully. His creative spirit continued in North Ft. Myers, Florida, where he composed music and wrote programs at Lazy Days Village, bringing people together through melody and song. Back in Camden, he found joy performing as a member of a jazz band, sharing his gift with friends and neighbors.
Paul’s legacy is one of harmony—both in the music he created and in the lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but his melodies will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12PM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Chris Harris officiating. Paul will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Phoebe, at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
