Mike Mumpower
71, of Eaton, formerly New Lebanon, went Home on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
He was born August 2, 1954 in Dayton to the late Ralph H. and Marjorie S. (Stover) Mumpower.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Mumpower, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Terri Mumpower; children, Ryan (Cherisha) Mumpower and Aimee (Tara) Mumpower; grandchildren, Gaven Mumpower, Clayton Brown, and Leiloni Davis; siblings, Mary (Tim) Heeter, Nancy Roberts, and Ritch Mumpower; niece that was like a daughter, Allie (Nick) Beigel and their children, Hudson and Bryson; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A true craftsman at his core, Mike was a master carpenter and tradesman who could be told what was needed, sketch out the specifications, and then build it himself with precision and pride. His workmanship spoke for itself; solid, thoughtful, and built to last. That same dedication carried into one of his greatest passions: building street rod cars from the ground up. From the first bolt to the final polish, Mike poured himself into every project, proudly showcasing his creations at car shows and swap meets, where his work and knowledge were admired by many.
Mike also found peace and joy outdoors. He loved fishing, where time seemed to slow and the world felt just right. When indoors, his creativity continued as he built model airplanes, a reflection of his patience, attention to detail, and lifelong curiosity. Above all, Mike cherished time spent with his family, who were the foundation of his life and the source of his greatest happiness.
Life was not always easy, but Mike met every challenge with resilience and strength. He overcame adversity with determination, proving time and again that he was not defined by obstacles, but by how he rose above them. His perseverance, work ethic, and unwavering spirit served as a powerful example to those who knew and loved him.
It was Mike’s decision to have no services.
