With hearts full of love and deep sorrow, we announce the birth and passing of our precious daughter, Mia, who was born asleep on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

She is survived by her mom and dad, Marissa and Marshall Kilgore; big brother, Maverick; grandparents, Jerry and Diane Kilgore and Michael and Sherrie Thomas; and uncles and aunts, Jeremy and Leah with their children, Zoe and Avery, Evan, Kyle and Katelyn, Josh and Ashley with their son, Ozzie, and Devyn and her daughter, Goldie.

From the moment she was dreamt of, Mia was surrounded by endless love, hopes, and prayers. She brought tremendous joy to the hearts of her family before they ever held her, and her memory will forever remain a part of their lives. While they never had the opportunity to watch her grow, hear her laughter, or hold her hand through life's milestones, they will always carry her in their hearts.

Mia leaves behind a family who will forever treasure the love they have for her and the place she will always hold in their hearts. Though her footprints on this earth were never made, she has left an everlasting imprint on the souls of those who love her.

She will be remembered as a beautiful and precious gift whose life, however brief, reminds us that love is not measured by time but by the depth with which it is felt.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21 from 1PM to 2PM at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center, West Alexandria, with the funeral service beginning at 2PM. Mia will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
