Martin J. Pfiffner

born July 3, 1934, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.

Martin was the son of Joseph and Stella Pfiffner and grew up on a strawberry farm in Albany, Louisiana. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956–1958, including time at 29 Palms where he was preparing for possible deployment during tensions in Cuba.

He went on to a long career with General Motors, where he was awarded numerous suggestion awards, including the company’s maximum suggestion award.

Martin was devoted to his beloved wife of 67 years, Lexie Pfiffner. He is also survived by his children: Mark Pfiffner (Jane), Carol Bell (Paul), Paula Gambrell (Rick), Susie Washburn (Jonathan), Mary Shenk (Mike), and Eric Pfiffner (Kelli). He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister Dolores Brogado and her husband Carl. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Stella Pfiffner, and his sister Jeanette Dolan. Martin will be remembered for his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and the steady presence he provided to those who loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 20 at 11AM at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 E. Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with no prior visitation or viewing. Martin will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio.
