Mark Richard Eck

Mark Richard Eck, 91, formerly of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday night, February 25, 2017. Born January 4, 1926 in Middletown, OH, he was a son of the late Ferdinand Percival Eck and Agnes Elizabeth (Maier) Eck. A veteran of WW II, he served with the US Army from 1944 - 1946. Mr. Eck was a farmer in Gasper Twp., Preble County for many years, and also had worked at Westvaco, Frigidaire and Harrison Radiator, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ and the Preble County Farm Bureau. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Robert F. Eck and infant sister Kathleen Eck. Survived by wife Myrtle (Ash) Eck, a resident of Brighton Gardens in Centerville, OH; sons Richard Stephen Eck and wife Teresa Ann of Springboro, OH; and Mark Douglas Eck and wife Thea of Irving, TX; granddaughter Victoria Marie Eck of TX; and 4 great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
