Marjorie “Marge” Weeks
84, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
She was born November 6, 1941 in Carbon Glow, Kentucky, to the late Kelly and Rachel (Rison) Noble.
In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husbands, Harley Thompson and Wilkie Mitchell; siblings, Bill Noble, Jeanette Pearson, Margaret Pugh, Alma Moore, and Faye Reed; sons-in-law, Gary Groff and Art Diamond; grandson, Harley Laymon; and great granddaughter, Arianna.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Gary) Groff, Sandra (Bobby) Dalton, Carla Thompson, Linda (Laymon) Miller, Carol Thompson, and Kellie (Jimmy) Phipps; numerous grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Rhea Noble and Pearl Ross.
Marge was a bright light whose joyful spirit made every place she entered feel a little warmer. She had the kind of personality that drew people in instantly, she truly never met a stranger. Whether you knew her for years or had just crossed paths with her, you felt welcomed, seen, and uplifted by her presence.
Marge lived life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. She loved singing karaoke, never hesitating to grab the microphone and bring a smile to those around her with her favorite songs. She also enjoyed the simple joys of playing bingo, where the competition was fun, the laughter was plentiful, and the friendships meant everything.
Traveling was one of Marge’s greatest pleasures. She had a heart that longed to explore and a spirit that wanted to go everywhere, and she often did. She especially cherished her trips to Florida and Tennessee, places filled with sunshine, beauty, and memories she held close. Closer to home, some of her happiest days were spent boating and swimming at Hueston Woods State Park with her daughters, soaking in the peace of the water and the time with those she loved.
But above all, Marge’s heart belonged to her family. Nothing mattered more to her than the time she spent with her grandkids, who were her pride and joy. She adored every moment with them, whether it was sharing a laugh, going on an outing, or simply being together. Her love for them was deep, constant, and immeasurable.
No services will be held and Marge will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens of Eufaula in Alabama.
