Marguerite L. Stapleton

Marguerite Lucille Stapleton, age 72 of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, March 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and friends at the Genesis Nursing Facility of New Lebanon. Marguerite was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Alexandria and spent her life spreading the word of Jesus to all who crossed her path. She loved to sing and spend time with her family and friends. When able, she enjoyed cooking, crafting, writing, and reading her Bible. She is preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Dean Stapleton and Wesley Abner Stapleton: her parents, Freeman and Vena Watson: and sister, Emily Watson. Marguerite is survived by her husband James Wayne Stapleton of 56 years; children Ryan (Tammy) Stapleton, Lucinda Owens, and Chasity (Kenneth) Stanford; grandchildren Wes (Julie) Stapleton, Leah Stapleton, Jessica (Dave) Jarvis, Elizabeth (Chad) Stapleton, and Austin Spurlock; great-grandchildren Audrey Fletcher, Mariah Fletcher, and Riley Fletcher; brother Carlos Dean (Awona) Watson of Jasonville, IN; sister Doris (Julian) Farley of Waynesville, OH; special friend Nancy Locke; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call on the family from 5:00- 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
