Margaret Elizabeth Barker

Margaret Elizabeth Barker, age 71, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital. Margaret was an active member of the Eaton Eagles Lodge #2202 and the Eaton VFW Post #8066, where she held several officer positions. Margaret enjoyed playing pool, Euchre, singing karaoke and being around her family and friends. Margaret was a very special person who would do anything for anyone. She had a very strong love for her grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Jack E. Barker; paternal and maternal grandparents; father Chester N. Welz, Sr; mother Mary J. (Sabo) Welz; brother in law Art Richardson; daughter in law Charlene Taylor; great niece Megan Harris; and sister-in-law Lori Welz. She is survived by sons Michael Taylor and wife Tiffany of Camden ,OH and Jack Barker and wife Jamie of Eaton; granddaughters Brooklyn Barker, Brilyn Barker, Braelyn Barker, Kinley Taylor; and her first grandson due in February, Gentry Taylor; sisters and brother Julianne Egner of Eaton, Kathy (Bill) Richardson of Naples,FL, and Chester Welz, Jr. of New Paris, OH; numerous step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will be begin at the funeral home at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 24, then travel in procession to Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, where a brief will be closing ceremony will be held at the graveside.
