Linda was born on August 17, 1948, at home in Camden, to the late Keith and Zula White.

On April 19, 1969, Linda married the love of her life, Dick Bruns. Together, they shared a wonderful 57-year marriage, raising two children and building a lifetime of memories. Their companionship was something truly special. They enjoyed working together around their home, tending to the yard and flowers, going out to restaurants, and most importantly, spending quality time with their family. Dick will especially miss having his beloved “Linda Bird” by his side.
Linda dedicated 30 years of her life to Miami University, where she worked in the Registration and Scheduling Department. She took great pride in her work and in the many people she met throughout her years there.
Linda had a true love for flowers and a special talent for making everything around her beautiful. She especially loved zinnias, and there was perhaps no better place to find Linda than happily digging in her flower beds, tending to her beloved blooms. She had a natural gift for decorating and loved making her home warm, welcoming, and beautiful, especially during the holidays. Decorating for Christmas was a favorite tradition, and she brought joy and creativity to every corner of her home.
Linda was also an accomplished crafter. She enjoyed attending craft shows and proudly displaying the wreaths and decorative sleds she created. Her creativity reflected who she was—thoughtful, artistic, and always finding a way to add beauty to the world around her.
Behind her camera, Linda loved capturing the beauty she saw in everyday life. She especially enjoyed photographing landscapes, flowers, old barns, and special moments with the people she loved. Her photographs became treasured memories, preserving pieces of life and people that meant so much to her.
Linda's greatest joy was her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially at Christmas, when she took particular delight in making the season magical for them. Her great-grandchildren brought her tremendous happiness, and she treasured every moment spent watching them grow.
Linda will be remembered for her quick wit, her kind heart, her creativity, and her ability to make ordinary moments feel special. To those closest to her, she will always be Bird. She found happiness in flowers blooming in her garden, a beautifully decorated home, a good meal shared with family, a photograph capturing a special moment, and the laughter of the people she loved.
Linda leaves behind much more than memories. She leaves behind a garden full of beauty, photographs full of treasured moments, a home filled with the warmth she created, and a family forever shaped by her love.
