Kenneth R. Hellard

Kenneth R. Hellard age 83, passed away peacefully at home in Kettering, Ohio on June 26th, 2021. He was the husband of Irene (Bishop) Hellard. They shared 61 years together, married for 59. Kenneth was born on July 4th, 1937, in Berea, Kentucky, and grew up in Richmond, IN and Kettering, OH. After enlisting in the Army and serving from 1957-1959, he was a long-time employee at Elder Beerman as a floor planning manager. Kenneth was a member of the AMVETS Post 2003 and the Miamisburg Moose Lodge 1645. He loved his family, enjoyed golf and playing cards. He will be remembered for many things such as the love he had for his family and his country. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dula Hellard; sister and brother-in-law, Eula and Vernon McQueen; and brother, Barty Hellard. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Irene; daughters, Paula (Dan) Cornelius and Pam (Greg) Starr; his four grandchildren, Stephen (Eric) Cornelius, Kenneth (Alanna) Cornelius, Kristen (Matt) Kahut, and Austen Starr; and his four great-grandchildren, Lily, Reese, Thomas and Kenadie, along with another one on the way. A private service will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at Preble Memorial Gardens Funeral Center.
