Karen G. (Schaeff) Williams
81, of Eaton, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 28, 2025.
She was born March 21, 1943, in Dayton, to the late Eugene H. and Velma B. (Lindsey) Schaeff.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Williams; brother, Don Schaeff; and sister, Judy Franks.
She is survived by her sons, Rob Williams and Wayne (Shawna) Williams; grandchildren, Scott Williams, Kimberly (Mark) Pace, Karen Williams, and Kassandra Wesley; great grandchildren, Kyle Pace, Bryxton Williams, and Madison Pace; sister, Connie (Kenneth) Wilson; and brother, Robert Schaeff.
Karen had a deep love for simple joys—spending time with her family, crocheting beautiful afghan blankets that will continue to bring comfort to those she loved, and watching the birds visit her feeder. She found peace and happiness along the Oregon and California coasts, where she loved traveling to spend time with her cherished siblings.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Karen spent many years working in the cafeteria at Eaton Schools, where she brightened the days of students and staff alike with her warm smile and delicious food. Her cooking was the heart of every family gathering, and her famous pies, taco casserole, and holiday meals will be dearly missed, though forever remembered in the traditions she created.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 6 from 5PM to 7PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 11AM on Friday, March 7 at the funeral home with her granddaughter, Karen Williams officiating. Karen will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
