Karen J. Bliss

Karen J. Bliss, 70, of West Alexandria, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, January 3, 2015. Born July 6, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. & Kathryn L. (Suggs) Izor. Karen was a 1962 graduate of Lanier High School, and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ingomar. She formerly served as a 4-H advisor for 18 years; was a member of O.E.S. Chapter # 155 of Farmersville; and was a former West Alexandria Fire Belle. She had worked different jobs over the years, sold Tupperware, loved camping and enjoyed crochet and plastic canvas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Ronald & wife Doris Izor, Larry Izor and Eldon Izor. Survived by husband William L. Bliss whom she married May 15, 1964: children Melissa Cobb & husband George of West Alexandria; Melinda Pendergraft & husband Terry of West Alexandria; Thomas Bliss & wife Irina of Dallas, TX: grandchildren Angela, Katlyn, Emily, Max, Dustin, Danyela and William: mother-in-law Evadean Coffroad of New Lebanon, OH: Aunt Betty Peters of West Alexandria: sister-in-law Shirley Izor of West Alexandria: niece Judy Izor of West Alexandria: nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Laura Cavendish presiding.
