Judy L. James

age 70, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Englewood Health and Rehab. Born on September 15, 1955, she was the cherished daughter of the late Elmer and Thelma Moore.

Judy was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of nearly 30 years, Norman C. James, and a loving mother to her son, Stephen Ford. She was also a caring and loyal friend to many who were touched by her kindness and warmth.

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved dogs and birds: Charlie, Cesar, Danny, Rosco, Haywood, Newbe, and her birds Blue Boy and Missy. She found great joy and companionship in her pets, who held a special place in her heart.

Judy enjoyed playing cards, doing diamond dots, playing games, and watching movies. She loved going to the flea market and having picnics at Englewood Park, creating many cherished memories with her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Judy will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3377 US Rte. 35 E. West Alexandria, Ohio 45381, on Friday March 6, 2026 at 2PM.
