Jessie I. Smith, 87,of Brookville, OH, passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2019 at her home following a lengthy illness. Born January 3, 1932 in Cruise, KY, she was 1 of 17 children born to the late Rollie and Martha (Durham) Mullins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by children JB Edwards and Diane Riancho; grandchildren Les Edwards and Logan Smith; and 14 brothers and sisters. The matriarch of 5 generations, she was a devoted wife to Delmar Smith whom she married June 29, 1959; loving mother of Linda (Rick) Stout of Brookville, Rickie Smith of West Alexandria, and Michael (Theresa) Smith of Vandalia; grandmother of Risa Dungan of Lewsiburg, Angela (Jeff) Eby of Lewisburg, Jared (Casey) Stout of Arcanum, Christina Gutierrez of New Madison, Danielle Smith (Logan Joiner) of West Alexandria, Jacob Smith of Vandalia and Emily Smith of Vandalia; great grandmother to Michael (Kindra) Olinger of Vandalia, Kody (Hannah) Eby of Georgia, Chayse Eby of Lewisburg, Luke Eby of Lewisburg, Hope Dungan of Lewisburg, Raylee Dungan of Lewisburg, Cora Gutierrez of New Madison, Ezra Gutierrez of New Madison, Ava Stout of Arcanum and Lily Stout of Arcanum; great great grandmother of Kaden Eby of Georgia; sister Jean (Larry) Weaver of Florida; and brother Jerry Mullins of Alabama. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35; West Alexandria.
