Greenville

George E. Aldora, Jr.

65, of Greenville, formerly of Arcanum, went to be with the Lord, suddenly on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

He was born September 11, 1960, in Dade County, Florida, to his parents, George E. Sr. and Dixie L. (Ullery) Aldora.

George was preceded in death by his dad, George Aldora, Sr.; son, Randon Aldora; and sister, Tina Endicott.

He is survived by his mom, Dixie Aldora; loving wife of 31 years, Ginny Aldora; children, Samantha Perkins, Justin (Kristee) Aldora, and Nathan (Tiffany) Aldora; stepsons, Curtis (Kim) Locker and Corey (Abby) Locker; grandchildren, Logan, Bailey, Ryder, Hudson, Harlynn, Brenna, Kenley, Nora, Ella, Aubree, Ianna, Lily, and Liam; siblings, Tracy (Patricia) Aldora, Anthony (Kristina) Aldora, and Carol (Gerald) Green; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family, and friends.

George’s story began with a bit of drama, as he was born in Florida during Hurricane Donna, a fitting entrance that earned him the nickname “Hurry,” short for hurricane. While he tolerated the nickname in his younger years, he grew to dislike it as an adult, preferring instead to be known for the steady, dependable man he became.

George proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army for seven years. During his service, he was stationed in Korea and later called to assist in the Invasion of Panama, experiences that shaped his character and deepened his sense of duty. His time in the Army reflected the same leadership, discipline, and grit that defined him throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, George found peace and joy in nature. He loved hunting, whether deer, squirrel, dove, or rabbit, and could often be found fishing at Ft. Loramie, where quiet moments on the water brought him contentment. The outdoors was where George felt most at home, surrounded by tradition, patience, and the simple pleasures of life.

George was also a devoted sportsman and fan. He proudly cheered on the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State University Buckeyes, rarely missing an opportunity to support his teams. He enjoyed staying active himself, playing rounds of golf, joining in a game of softball, and giving back to his community by coaching Little League baseball, where he passed along his love of the game and lessons of teamwork to the next generation.

In high school at Arcanum, George made his mark as the quarterback, breaking numerous records, many of which still stand today. His athletic talent and leadership continued during his time in the Army, where he again distinguished himself on the field. These accomplishments were a source of pride, though George was never one to boast.

He will be remembered for his strength, his service, his love of the outdoors and sports, and the lasting legacy of leadership he left both on and off the field. His story, beginning in a hurricane and lived with steady resolve, will continue to be shared by those who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 17 from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria, with the memorial service beginning at 1PM, officiated by Pastor Danny Wright. With military honors, George remains will be inurned at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, near his dad, George Sr.
