Dorothy (Woods) Coy

Age 96, of Lewisburg Ohio, passed away on Wednesday July 29th, 2026, at home after an extended illness.

Dorothy was born March 5, 1930, in Hyden, Kentucky. She was a devoted mother and dedicated to her family and friends. Dorothy was an amazing cook, seamstress, and homemaker. She lived a long life and often recounted how our family fit into the broader historical context. During her last years, she spent a lot of time at the Preble County Senior Center and made many wonderful friends as a member and volunteer. Dorothy loves her senior center family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Woods and Mallie Couch Woods; her first husband John D. Napier Sr, her husband Arthur L. Coy, and her sons John D Napier Jr, Jerry W. Napier and Warren Napier.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Lonnie and Don (Angela), grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Preble Memory Gardens in West Alexandria, Ohio.
