Donna F. Pennington
Age 78, of Powell, formerly of Eaton, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026.
She was born January 16, 1948, in Wilmington, to the late Dean Clinton Flory and Anna Alice (Mongold) Estepp.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Richard” Pennington, and a brother, Gayle Flory.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Thomas and Jane Pennington and Chris and Katie Pennington; grandchildren, Sandy and Joshua Niederman, Tyler Pennington, Noah Branham, and Sydney Branham; and several siblings and in-laws.
Donna gave her time and heart to the local Eastern Star, where she was a faithful and cherished member. Her years of service and the friendships she built there were a source of pride and joy to her, and the community she helped nurture remembered her warmly long after she moved away.
Anyone lucky enough to receive one of Donna’s handmade creations knows how much love she stitched into each piece. Whether she was working with a crochet hook, a cross-stitch needle, or a canvas of tiny sparkling diamonds, she had a gift for making something one of a kind. Her blankets, keepsakes, and artwork now sit in homes everywhere.
Donna was “Mamaw,” a role she cherished with all her heart. No one cheered more proudly from the stands or the edge of the pool. She was there for dance recitals, swim meets, and football games, always offering her biggest smile and loudest encouragement. She will be missed more than words can say.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 10AM at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Richard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Vicki Jo Dance Studio Booster Club, 25 E. Linden Avenue, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. PayPal can be used as well @VJDSBC.
