Don G. "Skip" Grover

Donald G. "Skip" Grover, age 79, of West Milton, OH, passed away Wednesday evening, February 26, 2014. Born October 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Earl & Agnes (Maggard) Grover. Skip was a USMC veteran of the Korean War, and member of American Legion Post #707 of Englewood. He worked as a tool maker, and was the owner of 3D Mold from 1972 - 1986 and retired after 28 years from Miami Valley Plastics in Eldorado. A proud member of the NRA, he was an adventurous spirit and prankster who loved to fish, boat, camp and go to flea markets. His greatest joy came from spending time with his wife and family. In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by son Brian K. Grover on March 21, 2005: sisters and brother Alice Donaldson, Joyce Bourne, Janet Gardner and Sanford Grover. Survived by wife of 58 years Faye (Carpenter) Grover: children Robert (Sharon) Lockard of Brookville, OH; Tina Iddings of West Milton; and Belinda "Bo" (Mark) Ayala of Elmore, OH: grandchildren Ryan (Angie) Lockard, Lori (Brian) Thom, Heather (Matthew) Keating, Justin Iddings, Tyler Iddings, Shanda (Jesse) Wright, Nikki (Jason) Tinnerman, and Nolan Pugh: 17 great grandchildren: special nephews Reck (Krista) Carpenter and Raymond (April) Carpenter: brother Arlie (Shielean) Grover of Vancover, Canada: sister Delores Stansberry of Richmond, IN: a host of other family and many friends. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor James Jamison presiding. Graveside military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #707. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
