Dale A. Lautensleger

Dale Alan Lautensleger

born September 9, 1944, in Baltic, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on January 4, 2026. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dale was the beloved son of Eldora and Paul Lautensleger. He was also a loving brother to Richard Lautensleger and a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Dale graduated from Baltic High School in 1962 and went on to earn his degree from Heidelberg College in 1966.

He served faithfully for many years as a pastor with the United Church of Christ, later continuing his life of service as a social worker until his retirement.

Dale is survived by his two sons, Jason (Kerri) Lautensleger and James Lautensleger; his grandchildren, Gunter (Hope) Lautensleger, and Carlee (Branden) Perry; his cherished great-granddaughter, Lainey Lautensleger; as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In his free time, Dale enjoyed flying his airplanes and was a proud member of the Prop Busters RC Club. He also enjoyed biking and was a familiar face at the Eaton Place and Waffle House, where he loved spending his mornings with friends and fellow community members. He rarely missed a sporting event and truly loved being involved in the West Alexandria community.

Dale will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kindness, dedication to helping others, and the genuine love he had for his family and friends. He brought love and kindness everywhere he went and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14 from 5PM to 7PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria.
