44, of Dayton, peacefully passed away, Saturday, January 4, 2025.

He was born October 31, 1980, in Dayton, to his parents, Michael and Beth Leis.

Christopher was preceded in death by his dad, Michael; maternal grandparents, Richard and Erna Shell; and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Betty Leis.

He is survived by his mom, Beth Leis; sister, Jennifer Johnson; nephew, Aiden (Katie) Johnson; niece, Lauren Johnson; great nieces, Evelyn and Kinsley; and caregiver, Shauna.

Though born with disabilities, Christopher was a shining example of resilience, joy, and the boundless capacity of the human spirit. He approached life with a unique grace, touching hearts with his radiant smile and a gaze that seemed to understand the world more deeply than words ever could.

Christopher found pure joy in the simplest moments—watching those around him, sharing his presence, and interacting with the people he loved. He didn’t speak much, but when he did, his favorite word, "Momma," carried a weight of love and devotion that spoke volumes.

He is now running free, unburdened and whole, likely casting a line and fishing with his dad in heavenly waters, where laughter and serenity abound. His departure leaves a void, but his memory will forever inspire those who were blessed to know him.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 29 from 11AM to 12PM at Farmersville United Church of Christ, 42 S. Broadway Street, Farmersville 45325.  The memorial service will begin at 12PM at the church.
