Arnon “Clark” Collins, Sr.
79, of Lewisburg, went to be with Jesus, surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 30, 2026.
He was born November 24, 1946, in Dayton, to the late Edward O. and Mary (McIntosh) Collins.
In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis J. Collins; daughter, Victoria Jean (Long) Collins; and brother, Melvin Collins.
He is survived by his son, Clark Collins, Jr.; granddaughter, Brittany (Hank) Chafin; grandchildren, Victoria, Jaylee, and Henry; brothers and sisters, Bob Collins, Ed (Frances) Collins, Chuck (Janice) Collins, Clarence Collins, Lonzel (Arlene) Collins, Kenny Collins, Sam (Judy) Collins, Maryetta Johnson, Aurel (Connie) Collins, Gary (Kim) Collins, Forrest (Sandy) Collins, Marty (Chuck) Lee, and Teresa (Greg) Brinson; and many more family and friends.
First and foremost, Clark loved Jesus. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his words, his actions, and the way he cared for others. He found great joy in sharing that faith with those around him and was a devoted member of Harvest Revival, where he felt both a sense of purpose and belonging.
Clark had a passion for working on cars, a talent that brought him both satisfaction and connection with others. He also cherished time spent in Kentucky, where he could be found camping under the open sky, riding dirt bikes and dune buggies, and embracing the freedom of the outdoors.
Above all, Clark was a family man. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, faithfully attending their activities and cheering them on with pride. He shared a special bond with his son, Clark, Jr., playing instruments and creating lasting memories. Pool was another thread that tied his heart to his family, especially the time he spent with his brothers, often enjoying games filled with laughter and friendly competition.
Clark will be remembered for his ever-present, joyous smile, a smile that could light up a room and lift the spirits of anyone who crossed his path. It was a reflection of the peace and contentment he carried within, rooted in his faith and love for life.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 9 from 11AM to 1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria, and the funeral service starting at 1PM with Pastor Hank Chafin officiating. Clark will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Phyllis, at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
