Allen S. Howard
91 of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 25, 2026.
He was born June 9, 1935, in Windover, Kentucky to the late Ray and Cassie Howard.
In addition to his parents, Allen was proceeded and death by his first wife Betty Howard, and siblings, Ruth, Elmer, and Robert Howard.
He survived by his loving wife of 11 years Barbara Reece-Howard; daughter, Debbie Howard; stepsons, Rick, Johnny, Eric, and George Reece; granddaughter Lindsey Mountjoy; step grandchildren, Kaisley, Kingston, Kane, Ryan, and Nathan Reece and Elise Cooper and Ashley Bell; great granddaughter, Chelsea (Kevin) Jones; step great grandchildren, Jordan, Isabella, Payton, and Bella Reece; great-great grandchildren, Asher and Sommer Jones; brother, Jurdon Howard; sister, Joyce Blair; and many nieces and nephews.
Allen found joy and believed that some of the best days were spent outdoors with a fishing pole in hand. Whether the fish were large or small, if they were biting at Woods Creek Lake in Kentucky, Allen was happy to cast another line, enjoying the peaceful moments and the excitement that came with every catch.
When he wasn't by the water, Allen could often be found at the bowling alley, where he enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie of his bowling league. He treasured the friendships he built over the years and looked forward to every game, sharing plenty of laughs along the way.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories of Allen casting a line into the waters of Woods Creek Lake or celebrating another strike with friends will continue to bring smiles to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless cherished memories he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 27 from 11AM to 12PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria, with the funeral service starting at 12PM with Pastor Marvin Eades officiating. Allen will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
